I’ve added some links to supplement my “Gatsby Clues and Connections” PowerPoint presentation. For a more detailed analysis of Francis Cugat’s dust jacket cover for Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, as well as information about the collaboration between these two artists, follow the link to “Celestial Eyes: from Metamorphosis to Masterpiece” (where I got a lot of useful information for parts of my presentation). Also check out The New York Times review of The Great Gatsby from 1925; the reviewer describes the novel as “a curious book, a mystical, glamorous story of today.”
I alluded in my presentation to experimental and semi-autobiographical aspects of This Side of Paradise, Fitzgerald’s first novel that garnered him instant fame and success. The etext can be found here if you want to skim parts of the story (I recommend “The Debutante,” the first chapter of Book Two written like a play).

mr quale,
where can we get the questions that we need to answer in the source book for the criticism, “The Great Gastby: Apogee of Fitzgerald’s Mythopoeia” ????
thank you!
Follow the links to your specific Page, “IB Juniors,” which can be found by clicking on it on the right hand column, or by going to “Class Files” and then finding the page for “IB Juniors.”
Thanks Mr. Quale!

it’s not all fancy-schmancy, but it is a lot easier to search through for quotes…
Thanks Amber. I added Project Gutenberg to my links on the main page so that we can use this site more.
