I have compiled a couple resources that relate to the novella Pobby and Dingan. The Lightning Ridge website has some nice pictures of the town and the opal mining that takes place near it. Also be sure to watch the trailer to the movie adaptation of Pobby and Dingan, titled Opal Dream, which looks like it could be a quality film. The trailer can be accessed through the movie’s website.
Also take note of the movie poster on the left (click on it to enlarge it), since we will begin creating our own hypothetical movie poster adaptations of the novella later this week.

Haha, this reminds me of the book review that I wrote for Pobby & Dingan back in Sophomore Year. Ah, good times.
Hey Mr. Quale, I’ve got a recommendation for you from my dad- in case you haven’t picked it up yet a new documentary about Dylan came out called The Other Side of the Mirror. It’s about how he transitioned from being a folk singer to a rock star. I watched parts of it and from what I saw, it looks good. Lots of “first-ever” live performances (according to my dad).
