Maxbeth

by Mr. Quale on February 10, 2008

maxbeth.gifMake reservations today for the show that everyone is talking about: Maxbeth. This reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Macbeth is a captivating, visually assaulting, and very creepy spectacle that is guaranteed to please both the Shakespeare aficionados, as well as the haters. I had the pleasure of attending a show this past weekend and was completely amazed and throughly entertained.

The remaining dates are February 13th, 14th, 15th, 28th, 29th, and March 1st, 6th, and 8th. You will need to reserve your tickets, so be sure to call 916-331-9663 ahead of time. All shows start at 7:30, and it is smart to get to the Black Box Theatre by 6:45 to get your choice of seats (although there isn’t a bad seat in the house). For students, tickets are only $6.

For my classes, this is also an extra credit opportunity worth 10 points—save your ticket stub and program. I would also love some reviews to post on this site.

I THINK THIS IS A PHENOMENAL SHOW THAT EVERYONE SHOULD SEE.

Did you like it, Mr. Quale?

Can we get extra credit if we’re in it?

Well, of course you would say that, Jill, you’re in it!

Though I too enjoyed the show immensely. Kelly made a really great last-minute Lady Maxbeth. The singing was great. I wish I could find the soundtrack on Amazon…

Maxbeth was absolutely AMAZING. I would love to see it again (if I can find six more dollars somewhere…>>…), and will definitely be giving them a standing ovation this time. (I wanted to friday night, but was too nervous.) Mr. Soto is a brilliant director, and the cast has done an amazing job with this play. I really hope that the rumors of a soundtrack are true…To all the cast: You are SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME :D

I totally agree with Danny! The show was the most superamazingawesomespectacularfabulouswowbreathtakingmindbogglingaweinspiring play that this school has ever seen…or at least what I have ever seen. It was absolutely mind blowing with the vocals, stunts, and especially the performances. I had NO IDEA our school has such superfantastical actors! I can’t believe I have walked in the same halls as Maxbeth or Macduff! All the actors are superb, especially the dark powers: they make the whole show ten times more awesome…I am definitely going to see this a second time, hopefully closing night. If I am there, I will be the first to stand up at the end and clap my little heart out:) That’s how good the show was:)

EVERYONE:
If you want to see the show, CALL FOR TICKETS NOW.
We only have three more performances, and as far as I know tickets are almost sold out, if not already sold out.
The number is 331-9663, and if you do not get a call back confirming your reservation, then you do not have a reservation.

Also, even if it is sold out already, some people can get in at the door, so I’d recommend trying your luck at the door. If you do that, get there EARLY. Some people camp out so they can get in, so yeah.

Sorry this is a really long note.
