IB Juniors
Over break we should be studying one nonfiction film of our choosing, and taking notes in our Source Books on the three parts of the film. I also want everyone to begin drafting a review of either the movies we are studying in class, or the one that you chose on your own. Here is the assignment: View / Download PDF. Although my calendar indicates that we should complete our rough draft over break, I wont check them until Monday, March 3rd (this will give us time to review or compare Favela Rising to another movie if we decide to do so).
IS Juniors
Gatsbyville is just around the corner, and I hope that we will have everything organized come Wednesday when we begin setup, so that we can “get our wiggle on” and take advantage of this time. You will get Field Trip Permission forms on Monday in English class, and you will need to get them signed by all of your teachers and back to us by Thursday in order to participate. Check out the Gatsbyville Page for brochure examples and the updated map (coming very soon), and please feel free to use the Discussion Board to coordinate efforts with you group members, as well as other booths that you plan to interact with.
MYP Sophomores
I trust we are working on our contributions to our website, and I like that some are using our Discussion Board to coordinate our efforts, and to read about what each other is doing. I have reserved part of Wednesday to check in with your page groups, so be sure to bring what you have, as well as your plans for what you still need to accomplish.

Mr Quale- do you think it would be an idea to start a forum thing for Empowerment. I mean now that we have our topics, and it may be a way to share information thats easier than the email tree things you tried for renaissance faire
