Tom alerted me to the Google Homepage on June 6th, and I snapped a quick screenshot of it, but then forgot to post it until now. I think the page was in honor of the birthday of Velazquez, but it’s also a pretty cool Borges connection or, as I like to call it, “When Google Lives in Google.” Note the red “o” in the mirror in the background. Check out this site for a fun virtual tour of “Las Meninas.”

I know, I know, I’m a dork. I think I could just blog about strange Borges connections all summer, however I promise I wont . . . well, maybe a couple more . . .
before you leave, you gotta go down to mountainview and visit google. it’s SWEEEEET. all the security guards ride segways, and they have an entire floor that’s a lounge for their workers. the last time i went, there were a bunch of people huddled around a table playing dungeons and dragons. x] don’t forget to go buy yourself an “i’m feeling lucky” shirt.
