Some reminders / information for my 9th graders:
1. Please don’t throw away any of your drafts form writing; we are going to keep these, and we will get Writing Portfolios next week so that we can keep all of our writing (including the process) in one place.
2. With regards to our Catcher essays, please keep in mind the following schedule:
- Finish Rough Draft on Google Docs by Monday (Block B) or Tuesday (Block J). Please do not “share” your essay again on Google Docs–your peer reviewer will automatically have access to the latest version of your document.
- Complete comments on one other rough draft by Wednesday (B) or Thursday (J). Be sure to include at the very least 3 comments in the essay, and a letter at the end of the essay.
- Remember to download your Rough Draft (complete with comments) to your desktop or flashdrive so that you can print it out and attach it to the final draft.
- Final Drafts (Rough Drafts with comments attached behind it) are due on Wednesday, November 5th November 12th (B) or Thursday, November 6th November 13th (J).
We need to keep to this schedule so that the peer feedback system works, and so that you have time to revise your drafts into complete final products.
