My podcast example Tim’s Transfiguration (Thusly), and the transcript as a PDF. In my review, I attempted to apply my knowledge of media studies to a specific medium (a song), while embracing the style of a review. I also was deliberate about using some anaytical terms that we use in media studies (symbolism, pastiche, translatable, postmodern, metafictional) For fun, you can watch a live, in-studio version of the song here.
As I mentioned in class, National Public Radio’s website is also a good resource for listening to podcast type material. Their music and movie reviews in particular, should be helpful.
